According to the media reports, Google is all ready to bring its 7 inch tablet to the market by July this year. The tablet by Google is Android based Nexus tablet.
Currently, Google is working with Asus to develop the device. The price at which the entry level of the tablet would be available in the market would be around US $200.
It is estimated that around 600,000 tablets would be shipped across the globe beginning from June, 2012. The exact specifications and features of the tablet are not exactly known but there are speculations that the tablet would run on a quad core chip and would be running Android 4.0.
It was earlier estimated that the Google Nexus tablet would be launched in May. But there has been delay in launch as to make necessary design changes and find ways to further reduce hardware costs.
This tablet from Google would be direct competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Tabs and Amazon’s Kindle Fire. Google Nexus tablet will feature a seven inch display. It would most probably be sold through Google Play Store through the new hardware section.
Google Nexus tablet would be equipped with Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core processor. It would run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System. It would also have Wi-Fi for internet connectivity.
