Audi launched a new model, Audi S4, yesterday. The new model from the German Luxury car maker was priced at Rs 45,31,000 (ex-showroom price Mumbai).
Michael Perschke, Audi India head, said at the launch event, “With impressive sales growth in the first five months of this year and the launch of the Audi TT, new Audi A4 and now Audi S4, 2012 is proving to be an exciting time for us.”
The new Audi S4 would be sold through the 19 Audi dealers across the country. The company has very good dealership networks in the whole country where the company can sell such luxury cars in India.
Audi S4 is powered by V6 3.0 TFSI engine. It can touch the speed of 100 km/hr in 5 seconds.
Audi is growing fast in India, it grew by 37% during the period from January to Many 2012. It sold a total of 3,281 vehicles during the period. Last year, during the same period the total number of vehicles that were sold was 2,394. In May 2012, it recorded a growth of 10 percent as compared to previous year with the sale of 450 cars.
In India, Audi models that are typically sold include Audi A4, Audi A6 and Audi A7 Sportback.
The company is also planning to increase the total number of dealers in the country from existing 19 to 25 to cover the whole of the country by the end of 2012.
