Facebook has rolled out a new feature to its Photos which allows for facial recognition and automatic tagging of faces in photos.
When a photo is uploaded on Facebook , the new photo recognition feature searches for faces and suggest the names for people in the photograph.
One can disable the suggested tags feature in the Privacy Settings. To do so – click “Customize Settings” and “Suggest photos of me to friends.” Now your name will no longer be suggested in photo tags, though friends can still tag one manually.
The new feature would first be rolled out this week to US users only and gradually worldwide.
you will be able to disable suggested tags in your Privacy Settings. Just click “Customize Settings” and “Suggest photos of me to friends.” Your name will no longer be suggested in photo tags, though friends can still tag you manually.
