Facebook is now one of the greatest social networking sites in the world. It is the place where friends can share pictures and videos among them. Now, Facebook has introduced a feature in its website through which it would be easier to tag friends in snaps.
This feature by Facebook is introduced as a default setting to all its users. In December, last year, there was news about Facebook about Tag suggestions. This is much more advanced feature than Tag suggestion.
In very simple terms, it means that whenever you want to tag your friends in a picture or an album, Facebook would be automatically using its Facial Recognition Technology to group all the faces which are very similar together and after doing that Facebook would be automatically suggesting the friend you should tag them with.
However, if you don’t want your name to be suggested when your friends go to tag everyone in the picture, here is what you should do to avoid such a thing:
- 1. Go to your privacy settings.
- 2. Click “Customize settings.”
- 3. Scroll down to “Things others share.”
- 4. Find “Suggest photos of me to friends.”
- 5. Edit accordingly.
This is not the first time that Facebook has introduced a new feature without user consent. Many users want privacy and do not like themselves to be tagged in each and every photo. It’s a great feature that Facebook has added, no doubt about it. But, how will users react to it, would be interesting to see.
As far as the predictions go, most of the users are finding this feature very good and interesting. What do you think about the latest development in Facebook? Do you like this new feature?
