According to a report published in The Sunday Times, London – Facebook application installed on smartphones access and read the text messages in the phone.
Facebook admitted reading text messages belonging to smartphone users who downloaded the social-networking app and said that it was accessing the data as part of a trial to launch its own messaging service, The (London) Sunday Times reported.
Facebook seems to be crossing privacy boundaries too often. There is certainly room for framing firmer laws against companies accessing data without user discretion. Would you trust Facebook with all your information?
