Now a days, a trend in China is to pick up a branded costlier smart phone as compared to a relatively cheaper and unbranded smart phone with a company name, you have never heard of before.
We have seen it all, initially when smartphone era was just at the starting phase, cheap local smartphones were preferred by general public. But as the market is more mature now, there has been considerable fall in the prices of smartphone in the market. Because of this fall in price, people in countries like China have started shifting their focus from unbranded and local smartphone to branded smartphones.
The prime reason for the rise of unbranded smartphones in China was because of the price factor. Unbranded phones offered almost the same features or sometimes even better features than their counterparts in branded phones, and even the price of these smartphones were very less compared to branded phones. But now, a reverse in trend is being observed in China. People have started buying branded smartphones and the sale of unbranded smartphones are on the decline. The prime reason behind this is the maturing of smartphone market and because of this heavy reduction in price that are offered by smartphone companies.
Because of this trend, China would be able to shed off its name as a place for low end products. It would definitely boost China’s image as a country.
Because of this trend in China popular mobile making companies would also tap in a huge rise in sales due to changing tastes and preference of Chinese people.
