The new HTC ChaCha smartphone was unveiled today by HTC Corporation in New Delhi. This new phone from HTC has a full Qwerty keypad and also a dedicated Facebook button. The screen is 2.6 inch and has a resolution of 480 x 320.
The phone is brought to India by Tata Docomo and will be sold at Rs.15,990 across all retail stores.

The features of this phone are impressive and include HSPDA network, WiFi, USB connectivity, Bluetooth and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It also has a digital compass, G sensor, proximity and ambient light sensor, a 5-megapixel camera with auto focus LED flash and a front VGA camera. The phone runs on a 1250 mAh battery.
HTC ChaCha operates on Android 2.3 and has a 800MHz processor. It is enabled with the famous HTC sense interface which has also been adjusted to work on a non touch screen phone and can upload photos easily on to Facebook. It has a clock with a ticker stream of Facebook widgets and a calendar widget which males sure that you are updated about birthdays of friends and other special occasions. Users can now stay on Facebook Chat through their phone and will be alerted if friends join in and they can also have chats with many people at the same time.
Tata Docomo is giving many offers for users to attract them to the phone. It has put together schemes like free 3G data usage of 3GB valid for 90 days on prepaid and free 1GB for 1 month on all postpaid connections. For 2G connections it is giving 3GB of free data usage and 300 Tata to Tata minutes free on calling on prepaid connections and on postpaid connections it’s giving 1GB free data service and 100 minutes of free Tata to Tata talk time each month for 3 months.
