HTC will today launch Flyer which is its new 7 inch tablet device. This will be the first tablet device from HTC that will feature the company’s Sense UI. It also features sleek aluminum body and pen interaction encouraging users to write down notes.
It has 1.5 Ghz single core CPU, 1024 x 600 resolution, 1 GB of RAM plus 32 GB of flash storage (further expandable with microSD memory cards) and a tablet optimized version of Sense. It also has 5 megapixel camera at the back for taking clear pictures. It also has a 1.3 megapixel camera in front for making video calls.
The Flyer will be shipped from quarter 2, 2011 and is equipped with Android Gingerbread 2.4. The Android 2.4 would be clearly differentiated with Android 2.3 and the company has committed to upgrading the device to a fresher version of its HTC Sense user interface.
The Flyer will also be coming in Gaming platform. It will also allow a new video download service. Gaming would come in the form of cloud based gaming service OnLive. Through OnLive users can directly output their gaming onto their TV sets using wireless connection. They can also play directly on the tablet. So, you can enjoy games such as Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, BA 2k11 and Lego Harry Potter with the Flyer.
