There are wide rumors in the market for HTC smartphones to adopt Ice Cream Sandwich in their smartphones by early 2012.
As a company, HTC has even updated it’s Facebook page stating that the company is planning to upgrade it’s smartphone portfolio to latest available version of Android i.e., Android 4.0 also popularly known as Ice Cream Sandwich.
There was no mention of the exact date by HTC, but there are rumors that Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) will come to the devices of HTC during the early part of 2012. The most probable devices to have Ice Cream Sandwich in them are:
- HTC Rezound
- HTC Sensation
- HTC Sensation XE and
- HTC Sensation XL
Along with the above mentioned smartphones, HTC Vivd is already upgradeable to Ice Cream Sandwich according to HTC.
It is further said that smartphones such as HTC Amaze 4G, HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO Design 4G will also be upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich with the help of close integration with the carrier partners of HTC.
It would be great when a smartphone from HTC comes loaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. In all of these developments by the company, it is a clear indication that HTC always wants to stay ahead at top of their competitors. HTC as a company is doing great. It was recently found out that HTC emerged as the top most smartphone seller in the US market for the third quarter of 2011.
