Intel Mobile Communications, a stand alone subsidiary of Intel has acquired most of the assets of SySDSoft.
SySDSoft is based in Cairo, Egypt. Intel announced that the acquition of most of the assets of SySDSoft was to accelerate their 4G LTE efforts. SySDSoft was a privately held company and developed empedded wireless systems. Intel was of the view to hire around 100 of SySDSoft’s engineers and scientists.
This type of acquisition was first of its kind between Intel and a middle-east country. Other terms and conditions related to acquisition were not disclosed by Intel. Whatever be the terms and conditions, Intel is surely to benefit with this deal. It will boost it’s 4G LTE efforts tremondously and help the company get better engineers and scientists.
SySDSoft is a pioneer company in developing and designing IP solutions in software stack and physical layer domain. It also develops embedded RF circuits in mobile platforms. It also designs and implements technologies such as WiMAX, Bluetooth, WiFi, Wireless USB,CDMA – Do and LTE. The company also has a wide spectrum of clients ranging from start-up firms to Fortume 500 companies.
