Apple unveiled about iOS6 at the World Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2012. iOS6 is a software upgrade which will add variety of new features to older iPhones & iPads. For the very first time one can also use Siri on their iPads, which helps in launching application using your voice.
It will now be easier to share photos and post status updates because iOS6 is unified with Facebook which is similar to Twitter integration.
Apple with the help of iOS6 superceded in creating its own Maps application over Google Maps. Apple’s iOS6 has a 3D view ‘Flyover’ feature which helps in exploring cities in 3D view without satellite imagery.
iOS6 – Availables:
Within next 3-4 months iOS6 will be available for download. It will support the following Apple devices:
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 4
- iPhone 4S
- iPad 2
- iPad3
First generation iPad got support with the software upgrade through iOS6.
Its still not clear if Apple would charge any price or not for this software upgrade but most probably it will be a free software upgrade.
iOS6 – Non-Availables:
It might be that even if iOS6 will be available for download but only some of the features not all of them will be available for iPhone or iPad. Likewise, iOS6 is available for iPad 2 indeed Siri being a part of iOS6 is not available for iPad 2. For now iOS6 is only available for its developers.
