Apple is planning to launch iPad Mini, which would be smaller version of iPad during October, 2012. This move has been done by Apple to tackle competition by Google’s Nexus 7 and Amazon’s Kindle Fire.
The iPad Mini would be having a screen size between 7 and 8 inches. The screen resolution of the tablet would also be lower than that of the present day iPad. The price of iPad Mini could be around US $199, as this is the price range for Amazon’s Kindle Fire. One of the reasons that people are buying Kindle Fire is the price and Apple do not want itself to be left behind. The sole reason of launching iPad Mini for Apple is not to lose market share in the tablet market.
Many users of iPad have said that the tablet is slightly on a bigger side. This could also be one of the reasons for Apple to launch a smaller version of iPad into the market.
The launch of iPad Mini has been deliberately kept in October since it nears holiday season so there would be maximum gain and more number of devices could be sold as it would be a newer product in the market.
We are eagerly waiting to the new iPad Mini to be launched as soon as possible. What about you?
