The experts might have not rated the iPhone 4S very highly but sales figures over the weekend have shown that customers think otherwise. Apple has sold more than 4 million units of iPhone 4S during the weekend making it the fastest selling iPhone till date.
Another new release from Apple that’s selling like hot cakes is the iOS 5. Apparently, 25 million people have already downloaded the new iOS to their Apple devices. Apple’s iCloud has gained a user base of more than 20 million. It’s a platform which synchronizes all Apple devices with features like calendar, contacts, photos, etc. wirelessly.
Apple’s senior vice president of product marketing has said, “iPhone 4S sales were more than double the iPhone 4 launch during its first three days”. The last iPhone to the hit the market i.e. iPhone 4 sold more units than all other previous iPhones combined.
When the iPhone 4S was launched it sold more than 1 million orders as pre bookings. This was a day before Steve Jobs, the great co-founder of Apple Inc. died.
The new iPhone is currently available in US, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Japan and Britain and it will be available in all major markets around the world by the year end.
