LG has unveiled its latest mobile charger at the Mobile World Congress 2012 (MWC 2012). Its the latest and advanced wireless charger from the house of LG.
The new wireless charger which is developed by LG is called the WCD-800. It is designed in a cradle shape in such a manner as to accommodate phone to be placed vertically on the charger and still make a video call and send text messages. You can also view TV programs or HD movies while charging your mobile phone.
The WCD-800 does not have any wires and there is no hassle of any kind that arise due to wires in the charger. The deck of the charger is 75.8 mm wide. It is double in size if you compare this charger to the WCP-700 which was LG’s previous wireless charger.
The mobile phone is charged using electromagnetic induction. The new charger from LG relies on current that is produced by the magnetic fields due to the electric coils that is located just under the mobile charger. In terms of performance, the new LG WCD-800 is equivalent to conventional wired chargers that are available. This shows where our future is going. From now on, be prepared to use a wireless mobile charger in the future very soon.
The LG’s wireless charger WCD-800 is compatible with all the devices that follow the Wireless Power Consortium’s Qi standard which is the standard for wireless power throughout the world.
LG WCD-800 would first of all be introduced in Korea followed by countries in North America and then later to the rest of the world. This wireless mobile charger from LG would be introduced during the first half of the year itself during 2012.
