Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Which is considered as India’s biggest Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) company in terms of sales, has introduced a new version of Bolero.
Mahindra launched the new SUV Bolero in Mumbai yesterday – September 8, 2011. The newer version is better and costlier than the earlier version. The new Bolero base version is priced at Rs 6,33,000 (INR) (around US $13,738). It is around 6,000 rupees costlier than the outgoing version. This was confirmed by Pawan Goenka, President of Automotive and farm equipment business at Mahindra.
The top version of the new Bolero is priced at Rs 6,96,000 (INR). In a press conference by Pawan Goenka, he said that the general expectation in the company is to sell more than 1,00,000 Bolero SUV in this year which would end in March 2012. This was a higher expected number than the previous actual sales which was 83,112 to be exact.
