Mumbai, the financial capital of India, rocked today as three bomb blasts were reported in the city today – 13th July, 2011. This Wednesday evening the blasts killed 8 people and injuring more than 70 people.
“It must be a bomb blast,” Chhagan Bhujbal, a state minister told a TV news channel.
Out of the three blasts, two were reported in South Mumbai. One at bazaar (market) which is famous for jewellery and the other at Opera house. The distance between these two bombs was considerable. The other (third) blast was reported in Central Mumbai in a crowded area of Dadar. It seems that simultaneous blasts have become a trend these days.
The bombs exploded at around 7 p.m. in the areas where there was maximum crowd at around that time.
This blast is also seen as a terror strike in the city after about three years when terrorists attacked The Taj in Mumbai.
Pakistan government expressed distress on the loss of lives of Indians.
