All the smokers in the world must have felt the glare from other people making them feel that they are the ones responsible for all the bad things in the world, when they are smoking. To help them, an electronic cigarette maker is planning to add special sensors to cigarette packs (thus making them e-cigarette) so that it helps the smoker to know any other e-cigarette smokers nearby – this way they can band together for support.
Another great feature of this e-cigarettes is that it has nicotine in them but they emit water vapor instead of smoke. It gives the smoker the same level of happiness and satisfaction that a normal cigarette gives to its user. Moreover, a smoker can even see and enjoy puffing away feeling giving out water vapor instead of smoke.
The name of the company behind this magnificent product is “BLU”. It has created packs of smoke which have sensors built in them which allows other Blu cigarette users to know that they are nearby. Thus helping smokers to meet up and chat with each other so that it can act as a support for both of them. They can even talk about the issues about the public glares that they are getting while they smoke.
The New York Times quoted it as, “Think of it as social smoking for the social networking era.” According to the New York Times – “You’ll meet more people than ever, just because of the wow factor,” said Jason Healy, the founder of Blu, who did not appear to be making friends as he exhaled the odorless vapor of an e-cigarette at a coffee shop in Midtown Manhattan recently. “It’s like with any new technology.”
The price tag for a set of 5 e-cigarettes is set at US $80 (Rs 3600 INR). The company is saying that the new “smart packs” for these cigarettes would be available to all it’s users from next month. These e-cigarettes would come with “devices that emit and search for the radio signals of other packs. When they get within 50 feet of one another, the packs vibrate and flash a blue light.”
