Opera Software which makes Opera Mini browsers has entered into an agreement with INQ where many of the INQ smartphones will be having Opera Mini Mobile Browser preinstalled in their hand sets.
This agreement between Opera and INQ has been made on smart phones which are based on Android Platform and INQ feature phones which are based on BREW. Frank Meehan, who is the CEO of INQ, said that “INQ has been born out of the Internet, and having a great browser for mobile has been something we wanted to get right.” He further said that “We’ve worked with some great partners in the development of the INQ Cloud Touch, and Opera has been one which shares similar values around making things fast and simple.”
The Opera Mini browser is very popular throughout the world and it is the world’s most popular mobile browser in the world currently. It has more than 90 million active users throughout the world. There are many features that are provided by Opera Mini such as Speed Dial, Password Manager, Opera Link, Tapped Browsing etc. These features make it user friendly and preferred browser.
According to the plan, the first handsets having Opera Mini Browser will be rolled out in March 2011. The countries in which this device would be available in March itself are United Kingdom (UK) and Australia. Other countries would follow these two countries.
It certainly brings smile to the faces of INQ’s loyal fans to be able to use Opera Mini in their handsets. What do you think about this move by INQ.
