Samsung has pushed more than 10 million handsets of Galaxy S 2 into the distribution channel. Yet, how much of these handsets which are pushed into the retail chain have actually been bought out by users is unknown. One thing that remains true is that, whatever be the number of handsets in the distribution channel, ultimately, it would eventually be purchased by the end-users looking at the current trend of this smartphone throughout the world.
The whole world as a whole have accepted this phone with both the hands widespread and there is no reason as to why not to accept such a great phone. The Samsung Galaxy S II has been in the news for some time now and has truly made a mark in the world of great smartphones concentrating the actual needs of the customer.
Samsung has been very reserved as a company in declaring its sales figures and other details in public, in the past. But this time, it took a U-turn and itself brought out this fact that it has shipped 10 Million handsets of Galaxy S II in the sales distribution channel.
There is absolutely no doubt that Samsung S II is a great phone, but it has to take on it’s competitors seriously as well. In the last eight weeks, Samsung has doubled the number of devices in the retail chain.
The rise in the number of handsets in the retail channel could mean sharp rise in the manufacturing process of Samsung. The handset has also tipped up in the US in the last eight weeks. This smart phone is doing very well in the UK and all the major UK mobile network carries this incredible device.
By disclosing the number of mobile sets in the distribution channel, Samsung has also introduced an ambiguity in the market place by not disclosing the actual sales that it made to the customers.
This is an example set by Samsung that if you make a great phone that meets customer expectations, it would simply rock in the market place.
