The much talked about tablet from Samsung, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is finally out there for pre-orders. This tablet from Samsung has been in talks since March, this year and is finally hitting all the stores.
One of the Stores – “Best Buy” started taking the orders for Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 from Thursday – September 15, 2011. It features Galaxy Tab with 8.9 inch screen and runs on Android 3.1 Honeycomb Operating System. The featured tablet has a memory of 16 GB. It has been put up on store for a price of US $469.99. This device put on display is however not the LTE version which was announced by Samsung in August. LTE version for this store was displayed as saying “coming soon”.
This tablet is third of such a device from Samsung. Samsung is basically trying to capture the tablet market as much as possible by all means. The previous two versions of tablet that were introduced by Samsung were Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Galaxy Tab 10.1. Galaxy Tab 7.7 had a 7.7 inch screen and was introduced by Samsung in September 2010. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 had a 10.1 inch screen and it hit all the stores in the U.S in June.
Let us see how this tablet will do for Samsung. This tablet from Samsung is definitely better than the earlier two versions introduced by Samsung but it would face tough competition from other companies like Apple and HTC in the market place.
