Sony Ericsson is all set to launch a new smartphone in its Xperia range. This smartphone is called the Sony Ericsson Xperia Acro and is specifically designed for Japan. It is expected that this smart phone would hit the market somewhere around May or June.
In the figure above, two different Xperia Acro are shown to the top left. These are SO – 02C and the IS11S. SO-02C is the CDMA version which is likely to be carried out by NTT DoCoMo. IS11S would be carried by KDDI’s CDMA network.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Acro Features:
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Acro is very similar to the Xperia Arc but it has some features more than the Xperia Arc which are specific to Japanese market. Xperia Acro is slightly fatter than Xperia Arc. It also has features like NFC capability and TV Tuner. In Japan, since Infrared is much more important than Bluetooth, Xperia Acro would feature Infrared. It will also feature 1 GHz single core Snapdragon and 8.1 Mega Pixel Exmor R camera. The screen size for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Acro is 4.2 inch.
