Google plus one (+1) is now known to everyone who uses the web. They are now seen everywhere in the web. But now, they are over mobile web too.
The Google +1 button which was optimized for mobile web made its debut on Thursday – September 1, 2011, on select iPhone and Android browsers.
According to Punit Soni who is the lead product manager for Google+ Games and Mobile said – “The button will automatically be visible to anyone on Android 2.1+ and iOS 4.0+ browsers”, he further added – “When you +1 something, it will be displayed publicly across the Web as an annotation on the content you +1’d.”
The +1 from Google is equivalent to “Like” in Facebook. But now, the Google plus one is also now available in mobile. In mobile version, following recent features have been added or planning to be added such as +snippets, +1 sharing with Google+ circles.
Recent reports suggest that the use of Google Plus (Google+) is on the rise. Mid July emerged as the time duration when most of the time was spent by users on Google+. As of August, most of the websites in the world included the +1 button. More than 1 million websites already have this button integrated in them. Google plus is rising very fast and is a major threat to Facebook.
