On March 1. 2011, Roger Capriotti, who is the Director for Internet Explorer Product Marketing, shared that the Internet explorer 9 (IE9) is being downloaded by users more than ever.
IE 9 which was released on February 10, 2011, the IE9 RC has already been downloaded more than 11 million times. If you combine the total downloads of IE9 along with IE9 Beta, the total number of downloads reach more than 36 million. In February alone, the total downloads for IE9 has well-passed that for IE 8 Beta and IE 8 RC combined.
IE9 as of now, represents 0.66% of all the web-browsers present in the world which is used and shared by users which are is installed on Windows Operating System. When the Operating System is specifically Windows 7 then, the figure goes upto 2.09%.
There was an increase in the Internet Explorer share worldwide which increased by 0.86% on Windows platform. This number comes to 0.78% for all Operating Systems. Internet Explorer team and particularly, Roger Capriotti is pretty much excited about the warm welcome received by IE 9 world wide.
