Here comes the latest answer for Apple’s iPod. Apparently Samsung has just released a commercial showing Samsung Galaxy 50.
It belongs to the same family as the Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab, analogous to Apple’s iPhone and iPad. Microsoft’s Zune was the next best thing to iPod. It did well in this segment considering the competition that it face from BlackBerry and iOS devices. The very reason that could have been its weakness, the presence of Android on several smartphones in the market is proving its biggest USP.
Samsung Galaxy 50 might well be the first of many to come in this category. Google’s success here may work wonders for all its Android powered devices. One more thing working in its favor is that it has all of Google’s proprietary applications like YouTube, Google Maps, and Gmail. Its also thicker than the iPod.
