Facebook is on a spree to become the world’s best website. In order to fulfill this dream and make all other websites as useless, I has now changed the photos interface for the users.
Facebook has rolled out a new design for displaying photos on the website. The way in which the interface is designed, it gives a direct completion to sites like Flickr. The new interface displays larger images and a light box type User Interface.
It also includes features like hi-resolution photos, bulk tagging options and photo-download links. Facebook is confident that with it’s new interface, the users will be able to browse through many photos without disturbing the underlying page and losing their place. All the photos that are to be browsed will be on the light box layer. It has already the features like Tag suggestions which provides its differentiating factor from other websites.
All the above said features are being included in Facebook is a copy of User Interface provided by sites like Flickr. It is not surprising that Facebook is now seeing Flickr also as its competitor.
Many accounts in Facebook has already been upgraded with the above brand new photos interface. Those accounts which have not been upgraded now would soon be upgraded within one week from now.
