SONY ERICSSON “LIVE with WALKMAN”
Erricson comes up with another innovation in its tradition of launching music centric phones. It has an internal phone memory of 320 MB. This Android based smartphone offers 1 Ghz processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, 3.2 inch display, 5 MP camera and all this at a price of Rs. 14,549 (INR) approximately. TOI reports that it will get an Android 4.0 update later on.
SAMSUNG GALAXY NEXUS
The launch of Samsung Galaxy Nexus is eagerly awaited but the recent announcements by Samsung India on Twitter say otherwise. Its launch in India could be delayed until March 2012. This Google phone has 4.7 inch screen, Android 4.0 Icecream Sandwich OS and a HD Super AMOLED Display. This 3G Google Flagship phone was released globally in 2011 but its delayed launch in India is speculated to the apparent failure of the iPhone4 series in the Indian market which is quite price sensitive.
SONY XPERIA ARC HD aka NAZOMI
Rumours of the release of Sony Xperia Arc HD are there and they say that it will be in 2012. It will have the features like 1 GB RAM, 4.3 inch LCD screen with 720 p HD resolution, an Adreno 220 GPU power unit, 12 MP camera and 16 GB and 32 GB memory options. It is still not clear whether it will run on Android 2.35 Gingerbread or the 4.0 IceCream Sandwich , only the official launch will portray the true picture.
SAMSUNG GALAXY S III
Samsung Galaxy S II had its place in the top Smartphones of India in 2011 and the Samsung Galaxy III may also have the same taste of success in Indian market. Its international announcement is speculated at the Mobile World Conference event in Barcelona in February 2012 and its release in India is expected to be somewhere around April 2012. It has various smartphone features like 1.8 GHz quad –core processor, an HD display, a 10 MP camera and Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich OS. It also has 32 GB inbuilt storage, with extra expandable storage. Just wait for the official announcements, as this phone would rock your world.
NOKIA LUMIA 900
Nokia Lumia 800 tasted its mild success and now there is the 900 series all geared up for its release in the Indian market with NFC and a 1.4 GHz processor, 16 GB internal storage, 4.3 inch AMOLED touch screen display, 8 MP camera with a dual LED flash and 720 p video recording. An LTE version (4G) was showcased recently in the CES show, USA. This version is not suitable for Indian markets in the current scenario though it will come to India soon, as reported by HT and the non-LTE version will arrive in June 2012.
