Titan Industries has decided to launch the golden Tata Nano next year in 2011. This would be the first jewelry car of India.
“To celebrate 5,000 years of Indian jewellery, we plan to come out with the world’s first jewellery car — Goldplus Nano — sometime next year, We will gold clad one Nano car with the most popular design and show it around the country. Some may even get a chance to ride the modern gold chariot.
This priceless car will be a single unit as a symbol of our precision capabilities and will serve as a memento and not for sale”
This move by Tata group may be due to the falling sales of Tata Nano. Tata Nano, which was earlier seen as people’s car is now seen in India as the toy for the rich. Whatever may be the reason, this is an interesting move by Titan to help create more awareness about the brand, which would ultimately help to increase the sales.
