Year End Tax Report Of Indian States – Maharashtra leads.

Another year is coming to an end and with it according to projections for the duration 2010-2015, here is the list of how much tax revenue is projected to be collected by each Indian state.

Maharashtra ranks number one while Sikkim is the state that is projected to be least of the tax revenue generators. Southern states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka occupies second, fourth and fifth place respectively.

Gujrat ranks sixth position with the projection of Rs 451,800 crore as tax revenue for the period 2010-2015. Kerela secures ninth position just below Rajasthan. Jharkhand does better than Odisa and Bihar. Tripura is projected to be the best among all the seven sister states of north east.

Rank 2 – Andhra Pradesh – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is 323,400 crore.

Rank 3 – Uttar Pradesh – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 296,400 crore.

Rank 4 – Tamil Nadu – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 273,400 crore.

Rank 5 – Karnataka – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 179,600 crore.

Rank 6 – Gujarat – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 451,800 crore.

Rank 7 – West Bengal – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 169,900 crore.

Rank 8 – Rajasthan– Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 150,700 crore.

Rank 9 – Kerala– Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 138,200 crore.

Rank 10 – Haryana– Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 136,300 crore.

Rank 11 – Madhya Pradesh– Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 127,200 crore.

Rank 12 – Punjab– Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 118,000 crore.

Rank 13 – Chhattisgarh– Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 72,400 crore.

Rank 14 – Jharkhand – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 70,700 crore.

Rank 15 – Odisha – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 66,200 crore.

Rank 16 – Bihar– Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 37,000 crore.

Rank 17 – Jammu and Kashmir– Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 34,600 crore.

Rank 18 – Assam – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 32,200 crore.

Rank 19 – Uttarakhand – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 32,200 crore.

Rank 20 – Himachal Pradesh– Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 27,400 crore.

Rank 21 – Goa – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 23,300 crore.

Rank 23 – Meghalaya – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 4,592 crore.

Rank 24 – Arunachal Pradesh – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 2,711 crore.

Rank 25 – Manipur – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 2,685 crore.

Rank 26 – Nagaland – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 1,776 crore.

Rank 27 – Mizoram – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 1,547 crore.

Rank 28 – Sikkim – Total projected tax revenue for the period 2010-2015 is Rs 1,368 crore.
