Nikon launched Nikon 1 series of cameras in India. This series included two cameras – the Nikon 1 J1 and the Nikon 1 V1.
This launch of new series of camera in India was announced at New Delhi yesterday, 22 March, 2012.
The Nikon 1 J1 is an advanced camera that can be used for both taking pictures as well as capturing High Definition (HD) movies. The camera is equipped with 4 interchangeable lenses. The camera also has an electronic view finder (EVF). The Nikon 1 J1 can be used for continuous shooting and has feature of auto-focus system
The name of this series of camera was chosen such that this series of camera would emerge as a leader in the digital age, by giving birth to “1” starting from “0”.
The Nikon 1 J1 has many features included in the camera. These features include such as hybrid Autofocus (AF), Motion Snapshot mode, Smart Photo Selector which captures images automatically. This camera has the ability to record full HD 1080p movies simultaneously with taking pictures.
The Nikon 1 V1 has a body made of magnesium alloy. It is capable of taking pictures at 1.4 million dot high resolution EVF. The Nikon 1 V1 is also equipped with a microphone. It has Multi-Accessory Port which can be used to attach GP-N100 GPS module or the SB-N5 compact speed light.
The price for which the Nikon 1 J1 is available in India is Rs 29,950 along with the 10-30mm VR kit lens. The price range for which Nikon 1 V1 is available in India is Rs 43,950 along with the 10-30mm VR kit.
