European Championship Title Conquered By Spain

Spain became the first ever team in history to win European Championship successively yesterday on July 1, 2012. Spain beat Italy with a score of 4-0 to become football champions.

The four goals that were scored from Spain were scored by David Silva, Jordi Alba, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata. The win for Spain was comparatively easy as the opposition team could not score any of the goals throughout the match.

The first two goals were scored by David Silva and Jordi Alba. The first goal was scored just after 14 minutes from the start of the game while the second goal was scored just 4 minutes before the half time.

Fernando Torres , who scored the third goal for Spain in the 84th minute, became the first player in history to score goals in two Euro final cups. Before this, Torres also scored a goal in 2008 when Spain became Euro cup winners. The fourth and final goal was scored by Mata who was a substitute player in the 88th minute.

The score of 4-0 has created a record in the highest margin win by Spain in any Euro cup final or Football World Cup final.

Alba said, “My team mates made history before and now I am doing so together with them in my first European Championship”. He added, “I am struggling to believe it but it seems to be sinking in little by little. I told my friends and family I was gong to score tonight and that’s the way it turned out.

In short, Spain won the Euro Cup in Style by defeating Italy. There was no competition between the two sides. Italy played like world champions and finally won the game in style.
